Smaug Puppet build- on hold

Creating and building a large mouth puppet version of Smaug, with the guidance of Jon Bristol of Elmwood Productions. This puppet will be used in May 2020 for No Boundaries Youth Theater’s (based in New Britain, CT) The Hobbit.

This puppet is based of off the 1970’s Hobbit cartoon that I grew up watching. He’s built from foam, fleece, fabric, and scrap material in the studio. So far this project has only cost $28 and has been built using scrap material in the studio and just 4 squares of felt, one long-sleeve shirt and 3 yards of fabric.

I can’t wait to share him with the young actor, the cast, and audiences this spring!

Currently this project is on hold as Covid-19 has closed down the community theater for the foreseeable future.
